Print recipe

Try this festive Jamonilla spread that combines the savory flavors from the Jamonilla with the round taste of cream cheese and sweetness from pineapple preserves. The spread is inspired by the Puerto Rican party food classic ham and pineapple dip that you serve with salty crackers as an appetizer on special occasions.

The recipe is convenient when you are having guests over as you can make the Jamonilla spread ahead and store it in the fridge until serving. This will leave you with plenty of time to spend together with friends and family and still serve delicious food that you can enjoy together.

Difficulty: Easy

Serving suggestions

When serving spread, you might as well serve some other snacks. In this way, your guests can serve themselves and you don’t have to put away the food until your guests go home.

The perfect snack table has a mix of both hot and cold dishes, that can be prepped the night before and reheated just before serving or kept cold in the fridge. The hot dishes could include mini pizzas and mini pastry. The cold dishes could be dips with cut-up vegetables, crackers, or bread.
